when you have a journal, and you’ve loved this journal very much.
So very much that the poor thing is falling apart. You tape it’s spine back together, you sow in pages that are falling out, and you tell him not to worry, it’s okay if he’s getting a little fat, you don’t mind.
But your poor journal does mind. He can’t stop thinking about how one day he will run out of pages, and he will no longer be of any use to you. You will a get a new journal. A nice, clean, stiff journal, and you will replace him. He will end up on the shelf with all of your others… left alone and forgotten, full of both the painful and the happy memories.
How do you deal with journal guilt?
It’s okay little guy, I won’t forget you.

A Chinese proverb says an invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, despite the time, the place, despite the circumstances. The thread can be tightened or tangle, but never be broken.
